On 21st May members of the Newcastle University Gaza Solidarity Campaign met with university officials at Newcastle. They secured some progressive action. The University have now released a statement calling for an end to the conflict in Gaza. the University is also prepared to fund a trip to the West Bank to assess how best the University can help Palestinians. The University has also scrapped the rules that curtailed political activism on campus. The NUGSC is still working on an convincing the University to adopt an ethical investment policy.
