Sheffield ended their 11 day occupation yesterday after it was clear that their demands would be discussed. The occupation was in the unique position of being excluded from the negotiating table despite being the catalyst for the talks. The occupiers have faced a large amount of verbal abuse and intimidation from elements of the student population as well as refusal from the University Management to enter into negotiation. Despite this they waited until the University sat down to talks before ending the occupation.
