Strathclyde stayed the night and other updates

Strathclyde is still occupied. Students stayed in the building over night because they failed to come to an agreement with the administration. I’m sure their choice of building will hurry negotiation up. You can support the occupation by joining the crowd outside the building. Photos of the occupation are up on the web and they also have a Facebook account.

LSE have a video of George Galloway making a fiery and vital speech - sadly to an empty House of Commons. If anything this demonstrates that we have to continue making this issue heard until the government and institutions take our concerns seriously. LSE also report that they Early Day Motion has reached 10 signatures.

Warwick have an interesting post about about arms sales in the UK, including an article in The Guardian

Nottingham has a final statement up on their site.

Sheffield Hallam has had a number of racist and sexist remarks on their site and has now decided to moderate comments. It’s sad that people are unable to engage in debate and instead have to resort to abuse.

I have just found out that Essex won after 2 days of occupying so I will be amending my blog entries - I hope this doesn’t cause any inconvenience to anyone.
